Physicochemical Properties
Disodium hydrogen phosphite appears as white crystals/powder (the pentahydrate is mostly colorless acicular crystals). It is easily soluble in water, slightly soluble in alcohols, and insoluble in ether and other organic solvents. Disodium hydrogen phosphite is sensitive to strong oxidants.
Main Applications
Disodium hydrogen phosphite serves as a chemical reagent/intermediate; is used in agricultural seed treatment and the prevention and control of plant fungal diseases; and acts as an additive in industrial electroplating and a bactericidal and preservative agent in circulating water treatment.
Quality & Packaging
The main salt content of Disodium hydrogen phosphite is ≥ 98%, and impurities (including water-insoluble substances, chlorides, etc.) comply with routine specifications. The regular packaging is 25kg composite woven bags lined with plastic film, and paper drum packaging can be provided upon request.
Safety & Storage
The dust of this product may irritate the respiratory tract. It is incompatible with strong oxidants and strong acids, and releases phosphorus-containing gases when heated. Protective measures must be taken during operation, and ventilation should be maintained. It should be sealed and stored in a cool, dry and well-ventilated place, separately from oxidants and acids. During transportation, avoid exposure to sunlight, rain and high temperatures. Do not transport it together with food or feed. All handling and transportation must comply with local regulations and the Safety Data Sheet (SDS).
